The Original York Print Studio

was established in 1994 and is run as an open access facility for artists, designers, illustrators, beginners and those wishing to refresh their printmaking skills.

It is a facility that caters for relief and intaglio printmaking techniques.

Inexperienced printmakers can take advantage of experienced individual tuition where I teach the skills required to safely use all of the available equipment.


EQUIPMENT INCLUDES:

Rollaco Etching Press (custom made) 30"x50" bed
Aquatint booth
Hotplate
Metal cutting guillotine
Various sized rollers
Inks are available (at small extra charge)
Zinc metal plates are available for purchase
Large nitric acid bath
Paper press
Large water bath
Separate space for sketching, painting and drawing.

The studio is set up for one artist to use at any one time and I currently have a number of regular users who hire the space on a daily basis.

DAILY HIRE RATES:

To hire above resources, excluding paper per day £24.00.
Ink charge £4.00 per colour,(Artist welcome to use own inks).
Individual, experienced tuition including all materials £10.00 per hour.
We are situated in Stockton on the Forest. An undisturbed rural location with views over a small farmyard.
